Using this vendor data, the system predicts when items will run out of stock and calculates the exact reorder quantities needed to maintain optimal inventory.
Given the scale of their operations, we’re processing a massive amount of data. To keep things fast, we set up nightly runs that calculate next-day stock predictions for every supplier.
That means the procurement team walks in each morning to finished reports, zero waiting required. From there, ordering is seamless: one click generates a file ready to upload straight into the supplier’s system, cutting out the manual busy work and human error.
UX was another critical challenge. The sheer volume of data was overwhelming. We needed to make reports easy to analyze, letting users tweak stock numbers effortlessly wherever they disagreed with the predictions.
Following our usual process, we worked through a few rounds of UX mockups with the client to get the design just right, moving into development only after it felt completely seamless to use.
